Winter solstice Madrid

Wednesday December the 21th 2016 is the date of the winter solstice and therefore the longest night in the northern hemisphere of our planet.

Madrid decided for the first time this end of year 2016 to celebrate this day (everything is good to make the fiesta :)).

The celebration will take place at the Puente del Rey with lights and fireworks.

This Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 7:00 pm will begin the festivities with a parade of people having made lanterns and then a fireworks marking the beginning of winter.
