Where is this big fire in Canary's Island
The villages of Artenara and Tejeda are the most affected with many evacuated homes. The place is steep on the road to Pico de las Nieves and difficult to reach.
On Monday morning there are no casualties, only a few people inconvenienced by the thick smoke that are being treated at local health centers.
The wind make difficult the stop of this fire
The most complicated for firefighters on the spot in the Canaries are the strong gusts of winds that sweep the Canary Islands in this month of August. Windspeeds between 75 km / h and 90 km / h have been recorded which constantly revives the fire and does not extinguish it completely.
During the afternoon of Monday, August 12 the fire is not yet under control by the fire brigade of the Canary Islands but it does not progress anymore.
