Cabo de gata access with car restricted summer 2017

Access for summer 2017 to the beaches of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park is regulated (see list below). A further advance for Nijar (Almeria).

Like last years, motorized vehicles are prohibited during the summer period, which begins this year from Friday 16 June 2017 to September 17 2017 for 3 months.

How to go and see the beaches of Genoves and Monsul this summer

There are 3 solutions for visiting and enjoying the beaches of Genoves, Monsul, Cala Luna or the small Cala Carbon during the summer:

- Walk from the lighthouse of Cabo de Gata. Preferences to see Cala Carbon, Cala luna and Monsul.

- Walk from the village of San jose, either by climbing up a small path, or following the signs to Genoves and Monsul, on the dirt road then from Genoves, there is a coastal road for walker. Preferences for Genoves.

- By bus with the transports in front of the different beaches on this side of the natural park of Almeria.

New in 2017 at the Cabo de Gata

This year, at the request of various organizations that are active in protecting the natural park, motorized vehicles such as sea scooters will no longer have access to these beaches.

This is to preserve the aquatic life for dives always in a more beatifull reserve.

Dive boats and other noats may have access on request and / or derogation.
