Moros and Christianos celebration in Alcoy April 2017

In the center of Valencia community, in the mountain, Alcoy is an atypic town.

Every year the "Moros y Cristianos" is celebrated in Spanish or in Valencian "Festes di Moros i Cristians".

This very popular celebration was initiated a long time ago almost everywhere in Spain.

This year the poster is realized by a famous painter of the city who's called Nani Serrano, graduated from the school of art of Alcoi.

This festival will be in honor of Sant Jordi (San Jorge in Spanish) with festivities from Saturday 22 April 2017 for 3 days (From Saturday to Monday).

Be careful if you come from the coast of the community of Valencia, you will have to park in the car parks on the edge of the city. Don't try to arrive in the center of the city, all access will be closed.

Little personal advice, for the evening take a big jacket, Alcoy is high in altitud.

In Spain, this festival is declared "international tourist interest".
